The Referees (2009)
Overview
How can a few crucial minutes in a football match change the life of an entire family? How do the "men in black" feel when they are attacked by supporters? Kill the Referee unveils the lives of several professional football referees at the EURO 2008 championship; amongst them, the English referee Howard Webb, who provoked incredible controversy when he gave a penalty to Austria just before the end of the match with Poland, and the Italian Roberto Rosetti, who refereed the final.

Sword Fishing
Sword Fishing is a 1939 short documentary film about a group of fisherman, including Howard Hill, "the world's greatest archer," who go in search of marlin off the California coast. With fishing line attached to his arrow, Hill plans to spear the fish, which would then be brought aboard the boat by rod and reel. In 1940, the film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film, One-Reel at the 12th Academy Awards.

We study the audience up close, big and small emotions build a mood at least as exciting as what happens on the pitch. On site in a football arena, we get to follow a match from different points of view but we never see the ball. A consideration of everything that happens around at a football game.
A Common Goal
After failing to make it into a major soccer tournament for 50 years, the Israeli National team finally gets into the Euro 2020 Qualifying Tournament. For the first time ever, nearly half the players, including the captain, are Muslim. This documentary explores the challenges that the Muslim players face from media critics and fans as well as how the team perseveres because of their passion for the game. Israeli director Shuki Guzik notes, “If an Arab child sees a Muslim score a goal for the Israeli team made of Arab and Israeli players, I see only good can come out of this.”
