Carry Me Home: A Remember America Film

In the cold winter of 1860, a young mother trapped in slavery seizes the opportunity to escape with her family when she encounters HARRIET TUBMAN (Karen Abercrombie, War Room). A trio of short films commissioned to be shown to visitors entering the National Freedom Center in Cincinnati Ohio. Freedom and Unfreedom by Aleksandra Korejwo uses sand animation. Slavery by Caroline Leaf shows the hardship of the life of a house slave in the American South before the Civil War, telling the events in one day in her life. The Underground Railroad by Luc Perez is the final film in the trilogy.

Experimental film about the legal action taken by a woman whose house is threatened by a new city development project. Her ideas of home, community and utopia are examined alongside those of the developer. The film explores the use of language and rhetoric, as well as competing visions of progress and development.
